FOSS- AVITECH Collaborate to build N.I.R platform for the Indian Feed Industry

In a path breaking initiative FOSS, Denmark and Avitech Nutrition Pvt Ltd., Gurgaon, India, announced a collaborative effort to make N.I.R. analysis available to the Indian feed industry.
FOSS is the world’s leading provider of analytical solutions for the agricultural, food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
“The project will allow feed millers to immediately get a precise analysis on primary feed ingredients, thereby controlling supply as well as finished product quality” said Mr. Rahul Kapur, MD, AVITECH Nutrition.
The initiative marks another significant step forward by AVITECH- a company that is rapidly rising to lead the fast evolving and growing animal nutrition sector.
How will NIR work?
-
FOSS India (F-IND) will place the XDS Rapid Content Analyzer at Avitech Lab in Gurgaon, along with necessary accessories and software.
-
These equipments will also reduce the cost of chemicals/solvents, personnel requirement and energy by many folds.
-
F-IND will install all the equipment (Chemical Analyses equipment and the XDS) at the Avitech lab and train the technicians to use the equipment, the software and how to develop calibrations.
-
Avitech will collect all the samples and carry out the wet chemistry analyses in their lab for the parameters of interest. The samples with the values (determined in their lab by wet chemistry method) will be made available to calibrate the XDS instrument.
-
With the help of the calibration software, Avitech’s samples with their values determined at Avitech Lab, Avitech / F-IND will carry out the calibration of the Avitech samples on the XDS.
-
On satisfactory completion of the calibration, Avitech will try out analyzing our clients’ samples at the lab on the XDS.
-
On successfully carrying out testing clients’ samples on the XDS, the XDS will then be ready to be networked. Avitech will set up a local network with their clients. F-IND will assist in setting this up.
- Joint seminars could be organized to spread the message of this collaboration.
What are the advantages of using NIR?
-
It scans the sample and interprets the proximate analysis in the form of a spectrum based on statistical calculations.
- Saves time. It can do the analysis within a minute.
- Calibration and standardization data can be transferred.
- Remote analysis can be operated through network.
- User friendly.
